Every new trademark application filed with the USPTO is checked against each trademark you're watching, using 4 layers of AI matching:

Text similarity: catches misspellings and near-identical spellings.

Phonetic similarity: catches sound-alikes that are spelled differently, like "Koffee King" vs "CoffeeKing".

Semantic similarity: AI embeddings catch marks that mean the same thing even with completely different wording.

Visual/logo similarity (optional): if you upload a logo, we compare it against filed logos too.

No. You don't need an existing registration - just the mark text you want to watch. TrademarkPing never asks for power of attorney, legal representation, or access to any existing filing, and never files anything on your behalf. It's purely observational: we read public filing data and alert you, you decide what to do next.

New USPTO filings are ingested regularly and matched against every active watched trademark automatically - there's nothing to schedule or configure per trademark.

Yes to both. Watching a mark doesn't require you to own a registration - it's common to watch your own unregistered mark while you build your brand, or to watch a competitor's mark for awareness. Add Nice classification codes to narrow the watch to specific goods/services classes, or leave it open to catch filings across every class.

Every match appears on your trademark's page and in the in-app Alerts center. You can also connect Telegram for instant notifications, and add any number of Slack, Discord, or generic webhook channels - each sends in parallel, so you can have alerts land in Telegram and a shared Slack channel at the same time. Configure channels under Notifications.

The conflicting filing's serial number, applicant name, filing date, source registry, and a per-layer similarity score breakdown - not just a single percentage. From there you review the opposition window and decide whether to act.

No - unlike a recurring health check, a trademark filing is a permanent historical event, so a match stays open until you review it. Mark it "Reviewed" once you've looked into it, or "Dismiss" if it's a false positive - either way it stops counting toward your open alerts.

No - each filing is matched against your watched trademark exactly once, and generates at most one alert. It won't reappear or re-alert on a later run.

Yes, no contract. Cancelling stops future billing; your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.

Nothing is deleted. Your newest trademarks (beyond the new plan's limit) are automatically paused, oldest stay active, and you're notified which ones. Paused trademarks keep their match history - upgrade again or free up a slot by pausing/removing another trademark to reactivate them.

Similarity scoring is probabilistic, not a legal determination - a high score means "worth a human look," not "confirmed infringement." That's why every match goes through your review, not an automatic action: mark a false positive "Dismiss" and move on.

Yes - enable it under Account using any TOTP authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.). You'll also get one-time recovery codes in case you lose access to your device.
